and Hero's Square. We've enjoyed a day of sight seeing on an On-Off type Bus trip

We spent time today visiting the Terror museum, an
incredible history of the occupation of Hungary by the Nazi's and the Communists
from 1945 - 1967,
The misery and death these people have endured is
incredible and something of which I'm sure most of us have no concept. In this
rather benign looking building on one of the busiest streets in Budapest, Men
and women were interrogated, imprisoned, tortured and hung, for crimes like
believing in Christianity! The Nazi discrimination against non-Arian
races, and the communists discrimination against anyone placing faith in a
higher power, is brought to horrifying reality in these walls.
Tonight the national soccer team played and won a 'friendly' game against the Greek national team just a short way from our hotel. We can see the stadium from our window!!
We left early in the AM on Monday for Eger, a small Hungarian village in the wine region, on our way to Poland. We had a great hike around there and a great lunch and headed out about 1 or so for Krakow.... Our plan was to drive straight through Slovakia, and the scenery on the way was beautiful! Unfortunately, our main route north was closed in the mountains so we had to detour through a bit of Czech Republic. This lengthened our drive a bit, so we stopped for the night in a very small village there - at quite a deal! about $40 USD!! We drove into Krakow in the AM!
