Our drive down the coast of Croatia today was
beautiful! and Even though we have had some rain, we saw beautiful
sights like the Arena in Pula, the 5th largest in Roman history!
and the drive down the coast was much like the Big
Sur highway, but think of barren islands just a few kilometers off shore all
along the route! 
It rained off and on but was beautiful by the time
we reached the Dalmatian Coast. We are staying in a small fishing village,
Perovic, in a lovely pension!
We've had a wonderful, relaxing
drive and look forward to 4 days on Hvar beginning tomorrow!! Hope you are
enjoying our visit too!

After Istria we drove along the Dalmatian
Coast to Split and caught our ferry there to Hvar. Split is built around
the remnants of Diocletian's Palace, incorporating it into the city.
